My name is Drake Eli Hall. I am the little brother
of Kimber and Kayne Hall and Chloe' Ballard. My
dad and mom are Justin and Jennifer Hall of
Webbers Falls, OK. I am a little man that is full of
life. I love to have visits from all sorts of people. I
am most usually happy and smiley. I am
learning new things every day.
I was born September 22, 2007 at St. John
Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. I was born at 25
weeks because I had a condition known as
hydrops. My body was full of fluid because my
heart was not working correctly. I was on a vent
for several months and I have had several
surgerys to repair different things. I was
supposed to come home on February 22, 2008
but my heart wasn't working correctly. I was
moved to the PICU at St John's and I have been
getting better. I have my good days and I have
days that my little lungs have trouble. I have been
on meds for my heart but as of the end of July
2008 my heart has been working great. I can
now wean off of those meds. I have learned how
to roll from my tummy to my back. I can almost
sit up by myself. I have been getting to try some
foods. I like applesauce and vanilla pudding. I
don't really like bananas. I have started trying to
speak. I can say baba and dada. I LOVE to watch
TV. I am a blanket boy. When I am sleepy give
me my blankie and my binkie and I am good. As
of July 27, 2008 I weigh 14lbs (not bad since I
started at 2). I know that my family all wants to
see me but for my health I have to stay away. I
made it home on September 17, 2008. Five
days before my 1st birthday. I got to have a
small party with my family. Since I have been
home I have started going to physical therapy 2
days a week and speech therapy 1 day a week. I
have really started eating well now. If I would
only learn to drink. But that will come. My
mommy will keep everyone posted on me thru
this site.
